[the_ad id="34231"]

The Destiny 2 weekly reset is upon us once more, bringing another week of refreshed content for Guardians to dive into, from a new Nightfall weapon rotation through to Ritual activities and plenty of other updates.

Following The Final Shape showcase, we are deep into Season of the Witch, with more story details revealed each week – and hopefully, some fixes following the Destiny 2 DDOS attack that’s plagued the servers over the last few days.

So, here is everything happening in the game this week, from a rundown of the reset time to details on the featured raid, dungeon, and Nightfall weapon rotations; and everything included in the weekly ritual content.

What time is the Destiny 2 weekly reset for September 26?

Destiny 2’s weekly reset time is every Tuesday at 6 PM BST/10 AM PDT/1 PM EDT. After this point, you will be able to tackle any of the week’s new content until the next week rolls around.

This includes new challenges, any new story content, and a refresh of all weekly content, such as Nightfalls, Raids, and Crucible modes.

What is the Destiny 2 weekly reset?

The weekly reset in Destiny 2 is when all activities are refreshed, rewards are restocked, and new weekly content is released. Each week, Guardians everywhere will jump on at the weekly reset time to check out what’s new, and what’s different, and to earn some all-important, powerful gear.

Destiny 2’s weekly reset is also a way for events like Iron Banner to launch and conclude their limited time in the game, and for vendors to restock their supplies.

Destiny 2 Nightfall this week

Heist Battlegrounds: Mars is the Nightfall this week in Destiny 2, making its return to the Nightfall rotation. This classic strike is one of the easier options, making it an ideal starting point for jumping into Grandmasters.

Completing the regular Nightfall will net you some decent rewards, but the true prize, the Adept weapon, comes only to those who can accomplish a Grandmaster Nightfall completion.

Destiny 2 Nightfall weapon rotation this week

The Destiny 2 Nightfall weapon this week is the Pre Astyanax IV bow. This is a staple of the Nightfall rotation and it returns this week.

If you are not familiar, there is a rotation of Nightfall-specific weapons that can only be gotten this way, and only one weapon is active from the rotation each week.

Here are the weapons that we can confirm so far to be in this season’s Nightfall weapon rotation in Destiny 2:

Weapon Name Weapon type
Pre Astyanax IV (New) Solar Bow
Warden’s Law Kinetic Hand Cannon
Loaded Question Arc Fusion Rifle
Braytech Osprey Void Rocket Launcher

Destiny 2 Exotic Rotator

This week’s new Exotic Rotator mission is Operation Seraph’s Shield, with the Revision Zero Exotic Pulse rifle up for grabs.

To get started, go to the Legends tab on the Director screen and you will find the weekly exotic rotator mission.

Destiny 2 featured raid & dungeon this week

King’s Fall is the featured raid for this week’s reset in Destiny 2, so be sure to jump in there to complete any challenges you have yet to accomplish.

The featured dungeon for this week is Grasp of Avarice, making this a great week to complete the attached Seal or just grab some powerful loot – including Gjallarhorn.

Destiny 2 Crucible & Gambit this week

With the competitive content refresh, we have more bounties to complete, gear to chase, and good times to be had in Destiny 2, with this week bringing us Zone Control & Team Scorched as our weekly rotator playlists.

We can expect Trials of Osiris to return on Friday. A recent change has made weapons more likely to drop as rewards from winning Trials matches, so be sure to jump into PvP this weekend.
