Pinagtibay ng mababang hukuman ang umano’y mga kasong estafa na inihain ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) laban kay dating Valenzuela Vice-mayor Evelyn Hernandez, ngunit pinahintulutan ang akusado na makapagpiyansa, ayon sa mga rekord ng korte.
Si Hernandez ay inakusahan ng tangkang Estafa sa harap ng Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 133 sa Quezon City at nakalaya matapos itong magpiyansa ng P3,000 batay sa dalawang pahinang resolusyon.
Sa ulat ng NBI, inaresto si Hernandez sa loob ng isang coffee shop sa Cubao noong Setyembre 15, sa isang sting operation bunsod na rin sa reklamong inihain ng dayuhang negosyanteng nagngangalang Andreas Georgious.
Nakasaad sa impormasyon ng korte na binudol ni Hernandez ang dayuhang nagrereklamo “by means of false pretenses, false manifestations and fraudulent misrepresentations.”
Inakusahan ng dayuhang negosyante si Hernandez na niloko siya sa pag-invest ng milyun-milyong piso bilang paunang bayad para sa dalawang slots bilang raw material supplier para sa pagtatayo ng Bulacan Airport Project.
“The said accused was not able to perform all the acts of execution which would produce the crime of Estafa under Article 315 paragraph 2a of the Revised Penal Code, by reason of some cause or accident other than their own spontaneous desistance, that is her early detection of the entrapment operation being conducted upon her by the NBI Special Task Force , to the damage and prejudice of the offended party,” saad sa impormasyon.
Tuloy ang court proceedings kung saan posible namang iharap ni Hernandez ang kanyang ebidensya para kontrahin ang mga akusasyon sa kanya.
