Security Bank Corp. received ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification by The British Standards Institution (BSI) at an awarding ceremony at Security Bank Centre in Makati City on Sept. 21, 2023—making it the first local bank to attain the upgraded Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification.

Adopting the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 27001:2022 certification standards, BSI evaluated the bank’s information security risks in order to determine and implement a comprehensive suite of information security controls within the overall framework of a coherent management system.
